About Me
Lou G is an enigma; A mystery wrapped in a riddle.
He hails from a desert, though of his early years not much else is known.
Documents have been found indicating that he acquired a copy of an old snowboarding classic, Robot Food's Afterbang, at some point during adolescence.
The movie fueled an intense desire to experience snowboarding first hand, but it wasn't until 2005 Lou G became fully consumed by it.
Today, Lou lives to snowboard and write about it. Welcome to DesertsDontSnow.com, a place for snowboarders to share and learn from their collected experience.

Kudos amigo. Good to have you aboard.
ReplyDeleteGREAT TO SEE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm fromn Arizona, the 08-09 season was only my third riding snow in any form other than a sled when I was nine years old. The first two seasons were spent in Washington and only totaled about eight trips between Crystal Moutnain and the Summit at Snoqualmie. So late last summer, out of work and stressin on life, my buddy that had been living in Dillon, Colorado tells me to apply to be a lifty at Keystone. A phone interview, a few months and a roadtrip later I was on my way to being fully enveloped in the snow sports world. After being unable to find a Summer job in Summit County, I movedback to the Arizona desert after being gone for six years.
Next season, it's back to Summit County, or back to the Cascades, this time a little further south. Bend, Oregon.
I like what you are doing here and you have another fan.
